“Pack your bags,” he declared, “we’re leaving this place.” He had had enough. Enough of his mother’s agenda. Enough of being told what to do. How to think. How to be. He just wanted to be free. And the bond that had grown with his assistant had given him the courage to finally break free. The lingering glances, the electricity when their hands brushed… He had asked her to come with, and surprisingly, she had agreed.

“It will be so nice to be just the two of us,” he continued. “Away from the prying eyes.”

“Aren’t you worried about your mother?” she asked hesitantly.

Copia scoffed, waving his hands dismissively. “Let her run the place.” His hand was at her waist, pulling her closer to him. His breath tickled her neck.

Are you even listening to me?” his mother’s voice came crashing through, jerking Copia back to reality. He watched the retreating form of his assistant as she left from leaving him some files. He sighed. He should have known it was only a daydream. He would never take such a risk.
