He fumbled with the large sheet of parchment, twisting it and turning it. His tan finger traced a thick blue line snaking across the mottled green backdrop. A grumble escaped him as he rotated it once more.
“I think it should be just around that bend up ahead,” he said confidently.
A sigh of annoyance rattled him from behind. “That would be great if the river weren’t razor straight.”
He swore, shaking the map vigorously in his hands. “Well how should I have known, this bloody thing is in a foreign language!!”
“You’re holding the map upside down,” she said through clenched teeth.
