It’s been a minute since we finished 2024’s Inktober. While I did the best I’ve ever done at getting posts prepped and ready ahead of time, I was abysmal at remembering to share them on my socials. I also did not really intend when starting out for the entire series to be just that… a series. I had meant for them to be like last year, where each day was a stand-alone story. But, you know what they say about the best laid plans…
The month of posts ended up taking on a life of their own and all existed within the walls of my digital castle in a silly little mobile game called Elder Scrolls: Castles. While some exact plot points did not actually occur – my Queen Fadiya was murdered by the husband of her husband’s best friend because she did not stop his affair – they were constructs of my imagination, parts of it did happen. I did crown a seven-year-old boy. He was overthrown by the noble children of his father’s best friend (yes, the same one mentioned above…) at the age of ten and banished. My Queen Fadiya did name two of her sons Rolund… 🤣
I fully enjoyed putting together the madness of this little series. But how did you, the reader, feel about it? Would anyone be interested in reading further into the exploits of my manic castle? My thirty-five year old King Gudstar just celebrated his twenty-fifth year as king, so that’s something. Murders have declined under his reign. And he is in the process of evicting all the useless, snotty Stormcloak children. Let me know if you want to hear more about the al-Elinhir dynasty!
