A Brief History: Born in Windhelm, Skyrim to Gerald and Agnes Winter-Song. In his early twenties, Tolfdir left Windhelm for Winterhold to join the mages’ college there. He meant to only study a few, short years and return to his life in Windhelm one day. However, Tolfdir never left Winterhold, falling in love with the charismatic, newly-minted, Dunmeri Arch-Mage of the college, Savos Aren. A decade or so later, due to some drama in Savos’ family, Savos departs to collect his young niece, Arya Aren. They raise her as though she is their own daughter.
