A Brief History: Born in Balmora, Morrowind to Dovyn Aren and his wife, the pirate Nireli Farys. When Savos was four, following the birth of his younger brother, Fathis, their mother left, resulting in Savos’ father moving the small family to Imperial City, in Cyrodiil. His father was a skilled member of the Thieves Guild, and Savos and his brother wanted for nothing. In his young-adult life, Savos joined the Mage’s Guild and eventually rose to the rank of Arch-Mage following the Great Collapse of Winterhold, which was largely believed to be the College’s doing, whether intentional or otherwise. When Savos receives a letter from his brother, now residing in Blacklight, Morrowind, that his wife has vanished, Savos becomes wary. Barely a year later, he travels to Blacklight to collect the girl, who is only eight, deciding his brother is unfit to be raising her. Savos raises Arya as though she were his own daughter, alongside his partner, Tolfdir Winter-Song.
